Singles Dining can be more fun

New Year resolutions usually involve pain (the gym), denial (cutting out chocolates), or self improvement. Joining The Solvent Singles Dining Club sounds a lot more convivial as all you have to do is meet new people and eat good food. “Since my separation the delight of just having to pick up the tab for one in restaurants has only been marred by having to eat alone” says Colin Barrow, the clubs founder.
In the belief that others feel as he does and would like company when eating out he has launched The Solvent Singles Dining Club. The word solvent means that everyone pays for their own meal. Single covers those who are on their own for any reason at all.
“The club is not a dating agency” said Colin Barrow, “it’s just a way of getting more pleasure from eating out and perhaps making new friends. Fast Food fanatics or those who regularly attend salsa sessions are unlikely to find the club convivial. It should however appeal to anyone with a recent edition of a Michelin Guide (or any good restaurant guide for that matter); to Dylan (Bob that is) fans, Dummies readers or anyone who has sat through a whole Woody Allen film”.The aim is to have at least one dinner or lunch each month at reasonably affordable good local restaurants; you can come as often or infrequently as you like. In true French tradition much of the conversation will be about past meals and wines enjoyed and the anticipation of those to come.
